Goupil was once just like any other fox, however, following a tragic accident, he transitioned to the role of scarf for a fashionable Parisienne lady. Now, Goupil is on the very threshold of stardom as the master magician's apprentice, and he's not going to stop there!

In this classic theatrical duel, the puppet will slowly steal the show from the magician. Despite the elegant atmosphere, the battle will be ruthless.

This spellbindingly hilarious family show combines classic cabaret and astounding acts of magic! From a classic magic act, we gradually move into a world of animated films, a deliberate nod to the wacky style of Tex Avery and the Pixar studios.

All the poetry of Étienne Saglio, a major figure in new magic, is revealed on stage. A fascinating journey to the heart of the cabaret and cartoon universe, stimulating our imagination and shaking our bearings. Each of Étienne Saglio's shows is a journey into a mysterious world, where our minds can finally escape.

BIO

Étienne Saglio grew up near Rennes. His work revolves around the manipulation of objects and magic. A self-taught juggler, a master of new magic with a penchant for the bizarre, learned his trade at Le Lido, the renowned artist’s school in Toulouse, as well as at the Centre national des arts du cirque. In his own words, he develops his magical universes out of “images and encounters that involve strange moments”. Magician, actor, juggler, he creates and performs in Le Soir des Monstres, which has toured all over the world, in Le Silence du monde and Projet fantôme, and takes part in Nous, rêveurs définitifs. He has been presenting Les Limbes since 2014 and Le Bruit des Loups since 2019. In 2021, he created a show aimed at young audiences, Goupil & Kosmao.

He is currently working on a new show that will premiere in autumn 2024.

Étienne Saglio is an associate artist at the Théâtre du Rond Point in Paris. The company is supported by Région Bretagne, Ville de Rennes and the BNP Paribas Foundation.
