A scenic journey toward wonder, inviting us to gaze upon the world as if for the very first time and through a different lens.

Thauma is a journey through an amazed mind. It works like a poetic game, in which top and bottom, background and figure, the big and the small are confused, creating different ways of seeing the same thing.

It follows the codes of the graphic novel and the theater of objects, proposing a landscape that gradually opens up, revealing its interior.

Thauma is a scenic poem focused on the ability to marvel and remain suspended in a poetic terrain that has no purpose, no conclusion, and no ending.

Thauma appeals to humor, beauty, mystery and the unexpected, to an astonishment that does not formulate thought, but can be the seed of thinking itself.

"The box of wonders

Thauma is an attractive, tasty and easily digestible proposal. In other words, for all palates, ages and types of audience. Is there anything more universal than looking and being surprised? An audience of young and old marveled at this clean and colorful piece. Contemporary creation for all audiences, mischievous hybridization, pop show with a Brossian and avant-garde atmosphere (...).

I can and do affirm, without any shame, that this show should go around the world. And it’s very clear to me that it would work just as well anywhere in the world. Because the ability to marvel knows no borders. And because it is very nice, from time to time, to go to the theater and let ourselves being surprised.

- Oriol Puigtaulé, Núvol

"This had never been seen in the theater

Plato and Aristotle considered Thauma (surprise) the driver of wisdom, and therefore the foundation of philosophy itself. Andreu Martínez and Magda Puig Torres have made the concept their own in a stage proposal as unusual among us as it is successful, even though it does not aim to philosophize but to captivate, to marvel. Yes, really amazing." - Santi Fondevila, Now

"The unexpected surrealist

Aesthetics play in favor of surprise, of playing to imagine new worlds. It has a focused reference, although with an almost unattainable camera aperture (...).

The game is constant. The plastic, absolute. At times, one can imagine moments of a cataclysm of humanity; in others a disproportionate joke with a dinosaur fighting a helicopter like that gorilla and the planes from King Kong." - Jordi Bordes, Recomana.cat
