Fifty years ago, in a small village in Castile, Pepe, Daniel Olmos’s grandfather, killed Maria, his grandmother. Although he knows the history of the Spanish Civil War and is familiar with a thousand anecdotes about Pepe, for a long time Daniel was unaware of the story of this femicide, committed at the height of the Francoist dictatorship.
On stage: a desk, writing paper, a stapler, adhesive tape, pencils (lots of them!), and a pencil sharpener... The company explores the symbolic and metaphorical power hidden within the everyday objects: a red pencil is transformed into a political prisoner, a sticky note into a shattered dream."
Through these objects, the two performers will alternately reconstruct a social and family taboo, a drama immersed in the history of Franco's Spain, creating an inversion of roles and viewpoints. Without ever forgetting the saving power of humor, VIVA! questions the collective responsibility implicit in individual acts and intelligently explores a society's capacity to repair and transform itself.
The object theatre of the company La Loquace overflows with scenic invention and precision to evoke a true story: that of the grandparents of actor Daniel Olmos, one of the company's founders.

"A very generous and intelligently constructed proposal, with just the right amount of humor and lightness to make the show accessible and enjoyable for the audience, without in any way sacrificing the seriousness of the themes addressed. A true gem!" - Mathieu Dochtermann, Puppet Gazette
"La Loquace Cie hit the mark with a magnificent show that intertwines History with a more intimate account, a love story with a tragic ending (...). We know that the path of humor often leads to the trails of emotion. Here, the goal was achieved." - Marie-Céline Nivière, L’œil d’Olivier
"A finely tuned, harsh, moving, humorous, and multi-award-winning performance (...). The show captivates even before it begins." - Javier Vallejo, El País
"This performance is an invitation to dive into a world where the magic of object theatre operates at its absolute peak." - Valentine Voisenet, France 3 Occitanie
"A deeply moving object theatre performance that narrates with intelligence and humor the years of the Francoist dictatorship in Spain, family traumas, and the burden carried by descendants." - Mathieu Dochtermann, Journal La Terrasse
BIO
La Loquace Compagnie is a French-Spanish company founded in 2021 by Lisa Peyron and Daniel Olmos. Through object theatre, they tell complex stories in a simple way and with a 'saving' distance. Both discovered object theare through Katy Deville, co-founder of Théâtre de Cuisine, one of the pioneering companies of this theatrical language. From this encounter, VIVA! was born, their first creation and a critically acclaimed success. From its earliest steps, the project was part of the Théâtre de Cuisine support program, with artistic guidance from Katy Deville and, later, Clément Montagnier. The company is based in Ercé, a small village in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park, near the Spanish border.
Daniel Olmos worked as a lawyer in Spain for eight years before dedicating himself to theatre. After studying at the Lassaad International School of Gestural Theatre (Jacques Lecoq Method - Brussels) and at Le Samovar (Burlesque and Clown - Paris), he discovered object theatre through Théâtre de Cuisine, and it was love at first sight. He has participated in several theatrical projects in France. Currently, he is an actor and musician in the puppet show Citron, by the company Le Bruit des Casseroles. Between 2020 and 2024, he was an associate artist at the University of Valence (France).
After two years of training at the Pierre Debauche - Théâtre du Jour school, Lisa Peyron joined the GEIQ Théâtre program in Upper Normandy at the CDN de Rouen in 2009. Since then, she has collaborated with several Normandy companies, such as Cie Catherine Delattre, Cie du Chat Foin, and Théâtre des Crescite. In 2016, she joined the street theatre company Carnage Productions. She also collaborates with Typhus Bronx on two of their creations. Since 2019, after training as a stage prop maker at CFPTS (Paris), she has collaborated with several companies in the design and creation of props.
