As we mark the 30th anniversary of the German playwright's death, we decided to create a performance—a visit, a lightning war—into the universe of Heiner Müller.

Fragments of his poetry and drama will breathe life into bodies, spaces, objects, masks, and even puppets. Aristocrats and dictators, soldiers, lovers, the living and the dead engage in a dialogue with major figures of European mythology and culture, reflecting an East-West tension that H.M. so masterfully synthesized.

Vidro Pantera (Panther Glass) is a performance made of shards, of pieces of text, within this fragmented and kaleidoscopic journey, we eventually discover a Müller who is simultaneously author and actor in the dramas he both wrote and lived.

BIO

Teatro de Ferro was founded in 1999. The work of the Company has been developed in the theatre of and with puppets and objects. They conceive their practice in the logic of a research in which the puppet has assumed a matrix value in its possible hybridizations, both tempted and tempting. The relationships - of the body interpreter with the manipulated object and the implication of each spectator in the building of this relation - are lines of thought that are transversal to the artistic practice of Teatro de Ferro. Igor Gandra is the artistic diretor of the Festival Internacional de Marionetas do Porto, since 2009.

Founded in 2006, Alma d'Arame carries out its work in the Alentejo region, particularly in the Municipality of Montemor-o-Novo. They believe fervently in the essence that grounds this project: to give soul to 'wired souls.' Thus, they aim to contribute to the promotion and democratization of access to the performing arts, with a special emphasis on puppetry. Their performances seek to bring the diverse forms and approaches of puppet and object theater to audiences of all ages, ranging from traditional techniques to more modern and technological methods. Their journey is defined by creation, programming, training, and creative collaboration with local, national, and international entities.
