The Orguishibai is a barrel organ like no other, unique in the world! It plays music and tells visual and musical stories, always with a peculiar, absurd, and joyfully Belgian sense of humor. On the bill: Ceci n’est pas une mouche, about a fly that isn't one. A singular experience where surprise and laughter blend with the absurdity of the image and the rhythm of the music.
Twenty meters of drawings fly by at full speed, illustrating a joyful catastrophe where chaos becomes a game and disorder both amuses and surprises us, in direct proximity to the audience.
Ceci n’est pas une mouche is a flash, a comic and poetic moment, a thought we cannot shake. It crosses borders, ignores doors, mocks mosquito nets, and defies slippers or flyswatters. It loves to buzz where the silence is too heavy and to bother where everything is too tidy. In truth, it only comes to bring life to this oh-so-boring world.
BIO
The Portuguese Paulo Ferreira has lived in Brussels for several years, where he studied comics and clowning techniques. His deep admiration for Lotte Reiniger, the celebrated German silhouette animation filmmaker, and his passion for puppetry are at the root of his desire to explore shadow theatre. Encouraged by the results of his first experiments, he realized his dream and founded the company Clair de Lune Théâtre in 1990. In 2009, he participated in FIMFA with Le Cyclo Théâtre and now returns with his latest creation. Since its founding, Clair de Lune has focused on wordless shadow theatre, accessible to all audiences, where music plays a vital role. With Orguishibai, he explores new paths, techniques, and experiences. Poetry and burlesque humor are his guides, always with a critical eye on the issues of our time.
