Exhibition From Marlowe to Shakespeare: A Tarumba - Teatro de Marionetas - 25 Years

National Museum of Dance and Theatre | Lisbon

Our exhibition From Marlowe to Shakespeare: A Tarumba - 25 Years at the National Museum of Theatre and Dance has been extended!
New date to be announced soon.

There are too many souls of wood not to love those wooden characters who do indeed have a soul.
- Jean Cocteau

Tarumba means to be confused or perplexed, astounded, fascinated, stunned, astonished… words that express the company’s general feeling towards the puppetry arts.
The puppets in this exhibition reveal the characters created for texts by authors such as Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare, Federico García Lorca and Bertolt Brecht. A taste for the classics to discover them through miniature stages.

A Tarumba - Teatro de Marionetas celebrates 25 years in 2018!
