Solo for a sublime and 'explosive' manipulator of everyday objects. With its miniature acrobatics, Vue is a small masterpiece, full of suspense and absolutely hilarious, not to be missed!
On the crossroads between object theatre and miniature circus and involuntary clowning, Vue puts on stage a meticulous, obsessive, delicate and over-applied woman who is trying to make the perfect cup of tea. At her little table, she occupies herself with trivial things, but they are always essential and indispensable in her eyes. She analyses their qualities, their weight and reveals their unsuspected agility. She takes away their usefulness and removes them from their original function: a glass, a kettle or a few pieces of sugar begin to take on a new life in her hands. Everything is in its place; every gesture is calculated to the millimeter and causes a chain reaction of spectacular precision.
Vue is a show without words about the small obsessions of life. Those small obsessions which can become sickly obsessions fed by excessive attention to detail, making us completely lose our minds.
As a demonstration of eccentric wit, dexterity and ingenuity, Vue is a small masterpiece.
A new adaptation of Vu that must be seen. This iconic show was created in 2012 by Étienne Manceau, and was presented at FIMFA Lx19 to huge acclaim. In 2022 it took on a new dimension with a female adaptation, performed by Amélie Venisse.
"With almost nothing, Sacékripa manages to write a ferocious show, full of humour and at times intriguing. A muscular parable about the little habits that become a fetish over time". - Mathieu Dochtermann, Toute la Culture
"The success of the solo Vu continues unabated. So much so that the artist has created a female version, Vue (...) A deliciously absurd show, with acrobatics on a table and a simple cup of tea. Vue is neither a creation nor a recreation. As the new 'e' in the title suggests, it's more of a variant, a female version of a solo that was originally a male work, performed by the man who wrote it, Étienne Manceau (...)." - Anaïs Heluin, www.sceneweb.fr
"There are many theatre shows that are great moments. Vu is one of those." - Ouest France
"A real jewel. Simplicity, humor and precision are the ingredients of this perfect theatre performance." - Le Quotidien de la Réunion
"A jewel polished to the highest detail." - Scena.ro Magazine
BIO
The company Sacékripa was founded in 2003 by five circus artists of different origins who met in 2001 when they were at LIDO, the Centre for Circus Arts in Toulouse, France. They create multidisciplinary shows integrating the skills and expertise of its artists in juggling, acrobatics and physicality into theatre productions of physical humour, charm and occasional well-meaning pathos. The company Sacékripa performs successfully on festivals and in theatres all over the world.
Amélie Venisse graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles in 2005 as a trapeze artist. She quickly integrated clowning into her work, winning several prizes (Festival mondial du Cirque de Demain, Solycirco, etc.) and performing on a number of stages (GOP-variete, Wintergarten, la TOHU, etc.) with her character Mademoiselle Cerise. Since 2016 she has also been touring internationally with a quick-change act. In 2018, she attended the New Magic course at the CNAC in Châlons-en-Champagne under the guidance of Raphaël Navarro and Valentine Losseau. She now teaches quick-change classes there. She co-founded the Juste avant l'oubli company with Quentin Marotine in 2020. The company's first creation, "Ma Louve", was released in 2022. That same year, Amélie became a performer in "Vue", a solo show for an object manipulator by Cie Sacékripa. Alongside her career as an actress and circus performer, Amélie is a songwriter and singer/accordionist with the duo "Les Folles de Léon".
