BIO

Born of the fascination for puppets as a reflection and shadow of reality, the company is an experimentation laboratory that travels back and forth
between the theatre and the workshop. Obsessed by the dream world, the poetry of the strange, the bizarre and the gloomy, Teatro Saco de Huesos makes art for both family and adult audiences, through the grotesque vision of reality. String puppets has been the technique most beloved by the company and has been its speciality. Teatro Saco de Huesos was founded in 2008 in Barcelona and has been performing at festivals all around the world.

Angel Navarro is the founder of Teatro Saco de Huesos, a puppeteer and director with over ten years' experience. He studied acting at the Teatro-Estudio Víctor Hernández and trained as a puppeteer at the Casa-Taller de Marionetas de Pepe Otal. He has created several shows, such as MancaGabinete Onírico and Gildo, with which he has performed all over the world at various international festivals.

He has collaborated with several companies as a set designer and puppet builder, such as Mimaia Teatro and Zero en Conducta. He has worked as a builder and manipulator for video works such as Guirilandia (Prague Puppet Festival Award) and for TV3's Sense Ficció programme.

He also carries out a important work as a teacher and trainer in puppet manipulation and construction.
