A Tarumba - Teatro de Marionetas produces in Lisbon, from 8th May to 1st June, the 25th edition of FIMFA Lx - International Festival of Puppetry and Animated Forms, with artistic direction by Luís Vieira and Rute Ribeiro.

Does 25 years symbolise the age of reason or of all possibilities? Four words have guided this journey: sharing, risk, tolerance and empathy. We have dreams, ideas and projects, will and courage, but these don't seem to be the times for dreamers. The world has changed. We need to build new horizons, regain confidence, open up our imagination and let ourselves be carried away by beauty, poetry and the extraordinary. Celebrate the power of puppetry and all these artists who continue to use their power to challenge, inspire and connect us, without borders or colours.

This edition celebrates an artistic adventure and pays tribute to all those who share their creativity, their concerns, their ingenuity, their humour and their emotions with us and the audience.

For 25 days, Lisbon becomes once again the international platform for puppetry and animated forms, with the presentation of more than twenty projects from renowned companies and creators, as well as new voices, most of them having here their Portuguese premieres, and one world premiere, from thirteen countries: Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Finland, France, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, United States and United Kingdom.

FIMFA Lx is an artistic project, open to new tendencies, of international dimension presenting an artistic and technical high-level programme, with a very contemporary point of view. A multidisciplinary project committed since 2001 to the promotion, dissemination, knowledge and visibility of Puppetry and Animated Forms.
