E. T. - The Extra-Terrestrial marked a generation and is one of the most beloved and moving films of all time. Steven Spielberg's film became a classic with the unforgettable story of the friendship between an alien, who has been stranded on Earth, and Elliot (Henry Thomas), a boy who hides him and protects him from the adults. E.T. just wants to go home, wherever that may be. Against the incomprehension of the adults and with the help of his little sister (Drew Barrymore, only seven at the time) and older brother, Elliot will do anything to save his alien friend. A Steven Spielberg masterpiece, nominated for nine Oscars (it won four, including Best Visual Effects).
