A fascinating show that takes us back to the golden age of the grand hotels and in the heyday of bellhops, when they jumped to the sound of the bell…

The story revolves around the daily routine of the hotel staff: the receptionist, always elegant, and the bellboy, a dreamy, clumsy and lazy puppet who delights the audience with his antics.

Every day at the hotel seems the same, a monotonous repetition of tasks and routines... until one day, the arrival of a demanding and exquisite hotel guest breaks the routine.

The Bellhop is a show that combines humour and poetry for all ages, with enchanting string puppets. Welcome!

BIO

Laura Cortés is an actress and puppeteer. Her professional career began as an actress in 2006, but it was in 2015, in Barcelona, that she discovered the puppetry world at the Taller Marionetas de Pepe Otal, where she was part of the Fills de Fusta company (2016-2018), with which she won the World Puppet Festival award in 2016 (San Sebastian) and toured Asia and Europe. In 2019, she founded her own company, Hilarilar Marionetas, of which she is the creator and director. Her first show The Bellhop has taken part in numerous festivals around the world and won the Best Street Show Award at the Fira de Titelles de Lleida 2024.
