On a troubled train journey, with stops in unusual places, although relevant in Pessoa's work and biography, characters get on and off at different stations. They are heteronyms and semi-heteronyms. We recognise them by their physical, psychological and linguistic features and through poetic texts. These characters will get involved in adventures that only end when the journey comes to an end and the first two passengers to get on and off the train, Fernando and Alberto, realise that they live in the same street, in the same house and in the same room.
Próxima Estação combines puppets, actors and an innovative set, with video and music, in a performance created from Fernando Pessoa's poetic universe and aimed at school and family audiences.
With this project, the company intends to continue introducing Fernando Pessoa to the younger generation, since reading his poetry reveals his immense theatrical potential, with the presence of characters of great scenic dimension. While there is an unmistakable complexity to his writings and thinking, there are also many of his texts that are childish, playful and fairytale-like. Here, everyone will have the chance to get to know a more relaxed and uncomplicated Pessoa.

BIO
The company Limite Zero celebrates its 22nd anniversary in 2025. It is a cultural organisation focused on implementing initiatives in several artistic fields. Its activities include the production of theatre and animated forms shows, video production and training. Since 2003, Limite Zero has created and produced twenty-six shows and with this new production the group intends to continue its work in promoting, researching, enhancing and promoting theatrical culture, in its manifestation of theatre with actors, objects and animated forms, an area it has been researching and developing and which is in the DNA of its artistic path.
